Johnson Christmas

Liberty met Santa at our ward party and wasn't sure what to think of him.

She certainly was wide eyed coming down the stairs to a tree full of lights and presents. She didn't get into unwrapping much, infact we left a few of her presents for later she was so disinterested. Her favorite was pulling down and eating the popcorn and cranberry strands around the tree.

Lastly, thanks to Brent and April for harboring last minute guests to their Christmas Eve dinner party. It was perfect. We felt as if we were meant to be there. Thanks for the PJs, yummy food and all the love anyone could ask for. We love you Thomas family!

Since Christmas we've been out hiking around the Superstition Mtns. We decided we want to hike the Grand Canyon and we're inviting all of you this coming Memorial Weekend. We'll work out the details soon. But it will definitely be an overnight afair.
We sure wish you all the best and look forward to bringing in the New Year with the Thomas family and Dad as our host.
Love,
The Johnsons

New Year's Resolution

Well, we have all been too busy to post, but when Todd & Camille get back from Hawaii, Camille needs to hold Todd's hand and show him how easy it is to post.  It is his turn to post his thoughts about the Moulding family.  Klint, you're after Todd and then last of all is the Crazy One!  (MIMI)

SNOW DAY

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland.  We had 8" of snow on the ground and school was canceled.  The boys were so excited to get out and play in it.  Since there was no school we had them read a book and do some chores before we would let them out.  Plus it was still to cold at 8am.

Here are a few pictures.

Our cars (no we can't park in the garage yet).

Our house from a few angles.

We have a big hill on the golf course right behind our house.  I went out there with the boys and made a big jump.  These pictures don't do it justice.  They would fly for at least 6 feet.

Here is Mason hitting the jump.

Here is Logan catching some major air.

This was an awesome snow day.  Of course I didn't get much done.  I was supposed to finish cleaning out the garage so April could park her car in there.  Oh well, there is always tomorrow.  Did I mention that the weather forecast is calling for another 8-14 inches tonight?

I guess there is always Thursday.

Lazy Sunday

We woke up this morning and we didn't want to get out of bed.  I have been sick for 2 weeks and April is starting to feel sick too.  We stayed in bed so long that the kids came in to wake us up!

Mason is hardly ever seen without a book around our house.  He is in Kindergarden but he is reading very well.  They just had some state testing and the teacher told us that he was the top of his class!

Here are all of our kids after taking over our bed!

Here they are after church!

This is how they keep their toes warm around here.

Here is our Christmas Corner.

We don't nearly have enough decorations to make our house into a Christmas wonderland so this week April bought a wreath and two small trees to get us into the Christmas mood.  We were going to go and chop down a tree on Saturday, but is was raining (and I was sick).  We should get our tree this week.

Calling All Halls!!!

Well, it's Todd's turn to write something but they still haven't joined our blog.  It's time to put some pressure on them.  Harassing phone calls in the middle of the night, threatening e-mails and if you see them face to face, dirty looks.

I know it seems drastic, but, let's guilt them into joining!

News from Germany

Hi, it´s taken a while but I finally logged in and read the family blog. Very funny stuff.

About my inlaws:

Brent: When I first met him I was determined not to like him because he was marrying April and she was just too young! We met on the family vacation at Lake Powell. I had so much fun with Brent and ended up liking him (a lot) within the first day. Brent, you´re a keeper!

Sarah: I knew Ron was totally in love with her, so I was excited to meet her. Of course who could find anything wrong with Sarah? I didn´t. The thing that impressed me most was her love for and devotion to my brother Ron. Thanks for being such a blessing to my brother.

Klint: I had no idea what to expect. Clint has an all american look. He has accumulated an impressive knowledge and I enjoy discussing things with him. I´m happy he and Janet found each other. Hope to get to know you better in the future.

Todd: I think Camille told me once you reminded her of me. Anybody that can remind her of such a wonderful person like myself has got to be pretty amazing himself. I really enjoyed the little time we spent together. I´m very happy for Camille and can´t wait to hang out together in AZ, Germany or wherever.

more fun pictures from our weekend in Show low

early morning dialog

Sabrina, "I want you to paint my nails, Klint."

Klint, "Ok, but you'd better wash your hands first."

Sabrina goes to the bathroom to wash her hands, but doesn't come back.

Klint, "Sabrina, are you coming back?"

Sabrina, "I'm on the potty."

Klint, "Oh...(time goes by) Sabrina, are you coming back?"

Sabrina, "I'm need you to wipe me, KLINT!"

Veteran's Day Weekend Celebration in Show low

With a little help from above and Liberty's expert driving we made it to Show low despite our cracked radiator.
The daddy's carried the babies on our quest for geo-cache, and the boys lead the way.

Thanks to the Thomas family for the wonderful weekend.

Love,

The Johonsons

Okay Brent, I'm really not good at this....I don't know if I dare write anything. But, just for the record I Love all of you and think you are great. I really do think I married into the best family.

Camille- cute little sister...into clothes...and boys...and making MarJan and Volker crazy by wanting to borrow the car. Extremely talented violist.

Mimi- the easiest to get to know...very welcoming...very silly and funny

April-Very pregnant and sweet. Really quiet. She was always doing something for someone else..(still does) cleaning her moms house, making food, taking care of everyone. Quietly serving. Brent- Wow..he's tall. really nice... made me laugh....Loves April...likes to tease MarJan...wanted me to play dope-l-coff..I just didn't get it..still don't.

Janet- The first one of Rons family that I met.wanted me to go away. I told Ron "I think your sister hates me". Because I slept next to Ron in the tent when we went camping.

Philippe- Extreamist...Really loving to all his siblings...Really great brother...speedo at Lake Powell. Yikes!!

MarJan- Really excited. busy, busy, busy. She read me my horoscope and told me how an Aquarius matched up with what ever Ron is... a leo, or something. I guess our stars were aligned, so she was happy we were getting married. Plus she was really sweet and left chocolate on my pillow when I came to stay.

Volker- Very Quiet...didn't say a lot. Spent a lot of time with his dogs. Made us Shnitzel(I don't know how to spell that) for dinner. It was really good.

In-law Blogs

Just a reminder about the in-law blogs.  You can post a funny story about meeting the family, what your impressions of the family were (and maybe how you were right or wrong about your impressions), or anything else you might want to say related to the Moulding family.

Who's Next?

Sarah
Philippe
Todd
Klint
Mimi

Todd & Camille and Philippe still have not joined the blog.  I have sent invites to both of them several times.  I am not sure if Philippe is getting the invite or not.  He has e-mailed us and asked to be invited.  Todd & Camille are being slackers and deserve or harassment!

Chocolate chip cookie monster

Big thanks to Camille for helping me out during my party and a very difficult time for me.
I also wanted to show off my baby and her first chocolate chip cookie face.
Love it! Janet
